Our last forest school session as Orange Class

We have had a lovely afternoon enjoying the weather whilst making tree spirits/nymphs from clay, pond dipping and den building. Thanks Miss Wones for guiding us to learn more about our nature area.

Euro Competition.

Orange class has been very creative with their projects about different countries in the European Football Finals. They have also enjoyed sharing these with each other.

Ms Nutbeam had the tricky job of choosing a winner.

Sports day and Norfolk show.

We have been very lucky with the weather this week. The sun shone for us Monday when we had our sports day and Thursday for our trip to the Norfolk show.

Den building last week and yoga yesterday.

On Friday the weather stayed fine and we were able build dens with our dads, grandads and uncles.
Then yesterday we enjoyed a yoga session as part of our health week.

PE in the rain.

Today we were having great fun learning to play rounders in the rain until it became too heavy. We're hoping for better weather next week.

Hirsty's farm trip.

On Tuesday we had a fabulous day at Hirsty's Farm.

This afternoon we had lots of fun playing lots of speed stacking games with our parents.
We discovered some had hidden skills!!!!

Yesterday we had a visit from Claire from the R.S.P.B. She helped us to find all the areas around the school grounds that make good homes for wildlife. It was great fun too!!

Farm to Fork

Today we were lucky enough to go to Tesco in Stalham to learn about where some of our food comes from. We got to try lots of different things.This afternoon we made sandwiches and had a picnic with Green class.

Thinking of food.

We have been thinking a lot about food this week. Even our literacy is about a disgusting sandwich!!!!

Summer begins

The sun is definitely shining and we have been enjoying our learning too.
So far this week we have 'creating' some interesting sandwiches in literacy, carrying lots of practical maths and making faces using pictures of fruit and vegetables.

Our class sandwich.

This is the chocolate as sweet as can be,

That tops the cucumber as green as the grass,

That speckles the burger as brown as a bear,

That covers the chocolate as tasty as can be,

That goes on the jam, so delicious,

That lies on the smelly egg so hard and dry,

 That sits on the peanut butter so yummy and tasty,

That started the sandwich that Orange class made.
